Following on from a national expression of interest process, Cancer Control New Zealand wish to announce the names of those successfully appointed and re-appointed to the Cancer Control Board of New Zealand.
The new Chair is Mr. Andrew Blair, formerly CEO of Acurity (Wakefield Health) and current member of the Hawkes Bay District Health Board.
Dr Richard Sullivan, Director Cancer and Blood Directorate Auckland Hospital will also join the board as a first time member.
Re-appointments include
- Ms Shelley Campbell Chief Executive of the Sir Peter Blake Trust
- Dr Katherine Grundy Palliative Medicine Physician and Clinical Director Christchurch District Health Board
- Dr Scott Macfarlane, Paediatric Oncologist Starship Children’s Hospital
- Mrs Catherine Smith Clinical Nurse Specialist Canterbury DHB
Additionally, two members continue serving existing terms on the board
- Associate Professor Jonathan Koea Hepatobillary and General Surgeon Waitemata District Health Board
- Dr Richard North Medical Oncologist, Bay of Plenty Cancer Centre
